LTTA è un Laboratorio accreditato dalla Regione Emilia-Romagna che si basa sull’attività coordinata di servizi con competenze complementari e fortemente indirizzate all’innovazione e al trasferimento tecnologico nel settore delle Scienze della vita e Tecnologie per la salute. LTTA si occupa principalmente di studiare, a fini applicativi, i meccanismi di differenziamento e rigenerazione tissutale ed effettuare indagini genomiche e proteomiche in patologie ad alto impatto assistenziale (es: neoplastiche, cardiovascolari, neurodegenerative e infettive). Tra le attività più rilevanti di LTTA si distinguono le attività di preclinical testing su sistemi in vitro e in vivo. I 7 Servizi altamente qualificati di LTTA (Animal facility, Biobanca, Bioinformatica, Citofluorimetria/cell sorting, Interazioni molecolari, biomarkers e delivery, Microscopia Avanzata, Ricerca clinica) interagiscono con imprese ed enti pubblici e privati grazie alla messa a disposizione di competenze, moderne metodologie e strumentazioni. LTTA fa parte di network nazionali ed internazionali di collaborazione per progetti regionali ed europei.
Le attività del Laboratorio LTTA sono indirizzate a ditte private e strutture pubbliche dislocate in Emilia-Romagna e su tutto il territorio nazionale: aziende Ospedaliere e IRCCS, Università e Istituti di ricerca pubblici e privati, aziende biomedicali e biotecnologiche, aziende farmacologiche e/o cosmetiche, aziende dei settori energia, ambientale e termale, Consorzi agrari e Istituti zooprofilattici, centri odontoiatrici, aziende dei settori ICT e BigData.
